Thailand has long been home to a vibrant artistic community, led by national artists who have shaped the country’s creative identity through decades of dedication and innovation. These figures are more than just painters, sculptors, or designers — they are cultural guardians whose work reflects the spirit of Thailand's past, present, and aspirations for the future.
The National Thai Artist Tour is a digital preservation initiative by A360 that transforms physical art spaces — such as artist homes, studios, and exhibition venues — into immersive 360° virtual experiences. Each tour serves not only as an archive of architectural and artistic detail, but as a tribute to the stories, processes, and philosophies that define each artist’s legacy.
By blending reality capture with storytelling, this project ensures that the artistic environments of Thailand’s most influential creators remain accessible and inspirational to generations to come.
Preserving artistic legacies presents a unique set of challenges. Many national artists live or work in intimate spaces filled with delicate, irreplaceable objects.
Furthermore, the frequency of public access to these spaces is often limited. Without proper archival, their stories risk fading with the artists themselves. Capturing the emotional tone, spatial layout, and creative energy of these places — without disrupting their integrity — demands both technical precision and cultural sensitivity.
The biggest challenge lay in creating digital archives that could preserve not only visuals, but also the atmosphere and essence of these spaces in a respectful and meaningful way.
To meet these challenges, A360 deployed high-resolution 360° imaging and HDR photography to digitally preserve artist environments with stunning realism. Each space was captured in its authentic state, maintaining every creative detail.
These tours are hosted online and are compatible with various platforms, including desktop, mobile, and VR headsets. They serve not only as a form of documentation but as an active bridge between past and future — preserving Thailand's creative heritage for the digital age.
